Home to the scouts, inspiration for artists, enigma for scientists, is what defines nature. It is every and anything to whom finds interest in it. It is jaw-dropping for whom takes a step back, intriguing for the one who looks closely, and a real money-making machine for he who can project his mind.
Nature is also a week’s worth of work for the Almighty. Seven days, is how long the Genesis says God worked on it. And as the only place in the entire Bible in which it is mentioned that God laboured, what does nature actually say about Him?

Nature, a testimony of God’s greatness
Every natural entity in our world is perfectly fitted in its surrounding. Put in its rightful position, it fulfils its rightful purpose. Every ecosystem is designed so that each part of it adds something to the whole.
Take a moment to think of yourself. Each cell of your body is designed to fit in, agglomerating with other cells to form organs, which in turn work together to create functional systems, which support your physical life.
Science, one of the intricate disciplines of humans, is yet to create anything! It stands in awe before God’s architectures, observing it and copying it to its possible best, and instead exposes the limits of mankind. (Psalms 8:3-9)
Nature, a testimony of God’s faithfulness
Generations come and generations go. Societies are built, then scattered. Scientific theories are agreed on, then refuted. And quietly watching these unending cycles is nature, mocking our unsteadiness.
This is the exact representation of God’s faithfulness to our fickleness. While one day we love Him, and another, hate Him, He is steadily watching over us, blessing us and loving us, no matter how bad we think we, or someone we know, might get. He will continue being there for each one of us until the day we meet again. (Hebrews 13:5)
Nature, a testimony of God’s plan
Despite His might and power, God refused to rule over creation. Instead, He beautifully arranged it for man (us) to rule over it. God made us gods over nature to decide its fate. This is why I believe that of the entire Kingdom Animalia, we humans are the species which has had the fastest evolutionary pattern and in fact of all living things, evolving from hunter-gatherers to the hyper digitalised society we live in today.
Have you noticed how from a bunch of herbs and animal parts you are able to make a delicious meal? Or how, from a bunch of minerals, tech companies are able to make phones and PCs. Whether in a good or bad way, we exercise our power to restructure the earth, and soon, the universe! Check out the genius of the earth trying to deviate the course of asteroids, I mean… God has placed His labour into our care, and we have the full capacity to reshape it according to our needs. (Genesis 1:28)
